To support our Bacteriology Department in Belgium, Poulpharm is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician.

what does the job entail?
As a Laboratory Technician Bacteriology, you will be responsible for performing a variety of microbiological analyses within the context of diagnostic and (pre-)clinical research. You will play an important role in the daily operation of our bacteriology laboratory and actively contribute to our quality policy and the further development of laboratory activities.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Performing various microbiological analyses for diagnostics and (pre-)clinical studies using different techniques and equipment.
- Following established protocols with great accuracy.
- Processing laboratory test results using the laboratory software system.
- Performing quality controls and helping to maintain laboratory equipment.
- Actively contributing to the development and follow-up of the quality management system.
- Providing support to other laboratory departments when needed.
You will collaborate closely with your colleagues in bacteriology and report to the Department Manager.
what do we expect from you?
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in a life sciences discipline or have equivalent experience.
- You have initial experience in bacteriology (internship experience is also welcome).
- You work accurately and in a structured manner, with a strong attention to detail.
- You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
- You have an innovative mindset and a true “can-do” attitude.
- You enjoy taking responsibility and working with a strong focus on quality.
