To strengthen our animal trial operations in the Philippines, we are looking for an Animal Care Lead.

Job description

As an Animal Care Lead, you will support the daily operation of our animal trial facility and help ensure the successful execution of animal trials. Working closely with the Study Director, veterinarians, and farm personnel, you will focus on animal care, poultry management, and trial activities while maintaining high standards of animal welfare and biosecurity.

This is a hands-on position that requires regular presence at the animal trial facility.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Support the daily care and management of poultry involved in animal trials.
  • Monitor animal health, welfare, growth performance, and environmental conditions.
  • Assist with the preparation, execution, and follow-up of animal trials.
  • Collect samples and assist with necropsies when required.
  • Record trial observations and maintain accurate trial data.
  • Ensure compliance with biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety standards.
  • Work closely with the Study Director, veterinarians, farm personnel, and animal caretakers to support successful trial execution.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of animal care and farm operations.

profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, or another relevant discipline.
  • Practical experience in poultry farming or poultry management is essential, supporting animal trials or livestock production is an advantage.
  • Passion for animal care, farm operations, and in-vivo studies.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to work regularly at the animal trial facility (typically 5–6 days per week, depending on trial activities) and perform hands-on animal care responsibilities.
