Lab Technician

To support our diagnostic laboratory in Belgium, Poulpharm is looking for a Lab Technician.
What does the job involve?
As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out various laboratory analyses within the scope of diagnostics and (pre)clinical research.
A selection of your varied responsibilities:
- You perform different laboratory analyses for diagnostics and (pre)clinical studies.
- You assist with the daily operation of the laboratory, including critical lab tasks during weekends (Bacteriology and PCR).
- You process and manage data resulting from laboratory activities.
- You carefully follow applicable protocols and quality guidelines.
- You carry out checks and assist with the maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- You actively contribute to the further development and follow-up of the quality policy.
- You work within one or more laboratory departments.
You will work closely with your colleagues in the laboratory and report to the Department Manager.
What do we expect from you?
- You have a bachelor’s degree in a life sciences field or equivalent experience.
- Experience with sterile laboratory work and/or one of the mentioned specializations is a plus, but not required.
- You work accurately and in a structured manner, with attention to detail.
- You can function well both independently and as part of a team.
- You have a good command of English, both spoken and written.
- You are available to work 1 to 2 days during the weekend, supplemented by 2 to 3 days during the week (to be determined in consultation).
- You have an innovative mindset and a can-do attitude.
