To support the virology department in Belgium, Poulpharm is looking for a Lab Technician.

What does the job involve?

As a Lab Technician – Virology, you are responsible for the daily operations of the virology lab and for performing various analyses within the scope of diagnostics and (pre)clinical studies. You play an important role in the correct processing of laboratory results and actively contribute to the quality policy and the further development of our laboratory activities.

You are responsible for:

  • Performing various virological analyses for diagnostics and (pre)clinical studies using different techniques and equipment
  • Contributing to the daily operations of the virology lab
  • Processing and managing data generated during laboratory activities
  • Carefully following established protocols and quality guidelines
  • Performing checks and helping maintain laboratory equipment
  • Actively contributing to the development and follow-up of the quality policy
  • Supporting other laboratory departments where needed

You will work closely with your colleagues in virology and report to the Department Manager.

What do we expect from you?

  • A bachelor’s degree in a bioscience-related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with sterile lab work and/or cell culture is a plus
  • Initial experience in virology (this can also be through an internship)
  • You work accurately and in a structured manner, with attention to detail
  • Fluent communication in English, both spoken and written
  • An innovative mindset and a true “can-do” mentality
  • A sense of responsibility and a quality-oriented approach.
